On Thursday evening, 1/9/2025, we were there as a party of three; my friend Debbie, Debbie's son Christian,and myself. We were sort of celebrating all 3 birthdays as all birthdays were pretty close. When Chicago area citizens are looking for a fine dining restaurant they always seem to consider the North and Northwest sides as well as downtown Chicago. Rarely is "fine dining" ever mentioned in connection with the southwest side of Chicago area. Mokena has a true "hidden gem" in a restaurant called Mr. Benny's Steak and Lobster. It is a true fine dining place to dine on a really first-class meal. After we were seated we were immediately served with water and followed by our waitress, who very warmly welcomed us to Mr. Benny's. I was the only one who had been there previously so I wasn't really surprised at the other's reaction. First thing was that she inquired about what we would like to drink. They were served very quickly and were also very good. Debbie ordered a filet, Christian ordered a strip steak, and I ordered the New Zealand Rack of Lamb (cooked to chef's choice). Christian is currently nearing the finish of his schooling in the culinary arts and, as can be expected, he was very inquisitive of the waitress who was more than happy to fully explain how long the steaks were aged and how they were aged. I think she was actually a little surprised at the depth and quality of his questions. As for the food, all the 3 of us had nothing but delight in how perfectly all of our selections were made: Exactly as we would have expected them to be: PERFECT. To top off the evening our waitress brought us each a very delicious dish of ice cream. Mr. Benny's is not a restaurant that I would be able to afford on a regular basis, but it is a place where you can go for an occasional very fine meal in an "old style" elegant setting and even for larger celebrations. Note: NO torn jeans, baseball caps or rowdyness. (And, NO, we never felt as though we ever being rushed. This is a restaurant with excellent food and service and a lot more.

Once again superb night. Debbie was our server, absolutely fantastic. Food was amazing as usual. Drinks very well done. Love this place because service is still what they give you. Will be back that is for sure!!

I had not been to Mr. Benny's in quite a bit of time. I went on a date here with a friend and we had a good time. My Hennessy side Car was chefs kiss, my friend had an old-fashioned. and said it was one of the bests he has had. I did not like my steak. It wasn't seasoned that well, but it was very tender. The vegetables were OK. I feel like my drinks (I had two) were better than my food and then my company was great as well. I tried the oysters which were not bad. There's free parking in the front and on the side the dress code is business casual or semi formal. My waitress was annoying because she kept getting all in my face to talk to me. I don't know if she is hard of hearing or just couldn't hear me or if that's just how she talks. I will go back to Mr. Benny's again because it is a vibe! Mr Benny's could be considered Romantic or not if you sit at the bar. Enjoy!

As usual, my Honey, Kenneth Ward Sr. and I always enjoy the GREAT FOOD and the people who have become our Dear Friends/Staffat Mr Benny's ......Valerie, Larry, Seth, Nadine (not sure if Rhonda was there), another Gentleman who always makes it his business to greet us... and another couple we just had the pleasure of meeting tonight... Her BIRTHDAY (Happy Birthday) is tomorrow! We had a WONDERFUL TIME celebrating our Anniversary with Friends! And the Ribeye...... OMG!

Haven't been to Bunnys for months, but it's still great last night. We went with seven of our friends and we all had dinner at a nice round table. My wife and I shared the salmon, Mediterranean salmon, which comes with rice and a salad, and the great biscuits on the table, hot biscuits, and, then we shared birthday cake for dessert. The restaurant was wonderful. The service was a fella named Andy and he was terrific and they didn't charge us an up charge for bringing in a cake and serving it. It was just a great evening. Everybody loved their food and I can't say enough nice things about this whole time steakhouse.

2022 Holiday Party was a blast at Mr. Benny's. This was my first visit to this steakhouse but not my last. Erin was a fantastic server and took care of our rowdy group. This restaurant has plenty of parking and warm tastefully decorated dining area. Our party had a private room. It was great because we were able to let loose and be festive. Appetizers were fantastic. We had cocktail Shrimp (they were huge), Calamri, Breaded Zucchini and Pizza Bread. All delicious. Each person was able to pick a dinner. Options picked were Lamb Chops, Ribeye, Filet, Sea Bass and Vegan Specialty Pasta. Not one complaint...Everyone was more than content with their selection. I had the Delmonica Ribeye paired with scalloped potatoes and green beans. Steak was cooked just right. Scalloped potatoes were good and I should of gotten seconds to take home with my leftover steak. Our boss was super awesome and even sprang for dessert. So many options. I got the bread pudding and coffee. I was so full but I wish that I ate more of that bread pudding. I would get that again. Mr. Benny's owes us nothing. They even prepared sirloin scraps for our service dog Duke. Good times and can't wait to come back.
